Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Have you always wanted a Wahlberg brother of your own? Now's your chance! Meet Donnie! He's single and ready to mingle! This jewel-eyed, chubby-cheeked boy is looking for his partner in crime. (That's you!) Donnie and his brother from another mother (Mark) were dumped at a local lake this winter and left to fend for themselves. (See video of the scared, starving boys gobbling food!) Donnie is currently learning what it means to be safe and loved, and he's come so far! He has a loud, rumbly purr box that can be fired up with head and butt scratches. He loves having his belly rubbed! Once he's comfortable with you, he also very much enjoys being picked up and snuggled either on your lap or in your arms like a baby. He enjoys toys and has a chirping meow that sounds like an owl. Donnie is ear tipped as he was originally thought to be semi-feral, but he's proven to be a sweet boy who very much wants to be a house cat! Much like Jason Momoa's eyebrow scar, Donnie's short ear only adds to his rugged good looks.
Donnie is neutered, FLV/FIV/HW negative, vaccinated, flea-free, dewormed, litter box trained, and microchipped. He seems to get along well with other polite cats! He has not been tested with dogs. (Though he is used to the sound of barking and seeing dogs run and play outside his enclosure.) Due to his traumatic past, he would NOT do well with young children as he will need a quiet, calm home to feel safe.
TWO IMPURRTANT NOTES:
1. Donnie would LOVE to be adopted with his friend and survival companion, Mark. If you're considering adopting this handsome brute, might you also consider the pair?
2. Donnie is still a scaredy cat. He will be frightened of you when you meet him. He will hide and have to be coaxed or pulled out. But I promise he is a sweet boy and very much enjoys human company! He will just need some quiet, one-on-one time with you in your home to realize that he's safe again. He still flinches if he's petted unexpectedly. He still scarfs food down like he'll never have another meal again, so he will require portioned meals to avoid unhealthy weight gain. (No matter what he tells you!) Until he trusts you, he may hiss or cower from you, but it will pass.
Email or text with questions about Donnie or to receive a digital application. I also offer a lifetime return policy if for any reason you are unable to care for Donnie in the future. I am also available indefinitely for cat-care questions and guidance.
