My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bella is one of this stunning litter of kitties that are about 4-months of age. The girls (Peanut, Bella, and Pumpkin) are beautiful brown tabbies and all of long ear tufts. Jasper and Jack-Jack are both black but Jasper is long-haired and Jack-Jack is short-haired. One of Jack-Jack's eyes is cloudy…it was from an infection and will remain cloudy but he has vision in that eye. They would love to be adopted with one of their siblings. They are all FIV/FELV negative and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Please see below for our adoption protocol.

Save A Kitty, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) kitty rescue. Our adoption process is as follows: We require a completed application, a home check, and an adoption fee (with the amount depending upon the kitty). We will also discount the adoption fee, if an individual adopts 2 kitties at the same time. All of our kitties have been quarantined for a minimum of 15 days, had their shots, been tested for FIV/FELV, given parasite treatment, and will be spayed/neutered before being placed into their forever home.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We have a 2 page application. We do a home check and have an option if we adopt to do a follow-up visit. Our adoption contract is a legal document and includes no release of adopted cats to a third party. We have an adoption fee that ranges from $125 to $200 depending upon the kitty, which helps us with some of the medical costs to ready our kittens for adoption (including testing for FIV/FELV, spaying/neutering, shots, deworming, and flea treatment). If 2 cats are being adopted, we will sometimes reduce the fee. Even if we do a home check, that does not constitute an adoption.

Go meet their pets

At this time Save A Kitty is no longer holding adoption events. Most of the kitties we are currently housing are special needs kitties (they are either senors, have medical issues, or have behavioral issues).

If you see a kitty listed on our Adopt-A-Pet page, please fill out an application for consideration.

More about this rescue

Save A Kitty is a 501(c)(3) no-kill cat rescue. We rescue from the streets, or bail from city shelters. We are active in trap/neuter/return and are trying to do our best to help reduce the number of unwanted births. We have a network of foster volunteers who care for our babies in a home environment. Our kitties are loved and cared for and will remain in our care until they find their forever homes, and if that is with us. so be it. We do what we do because we feel that all life is equal, a kitten with no home deserves to be loved and nurtured no less than any other being.
