Here's what the humans have to say about me:
LaRita was found in a rural neighborhood looking for food and friends. She easily charmed a couple of neighbors who kept her feed after seeing she had missed many meals. We were called to rescue her off the streets. She immediately made friends with our staff and was a little intimidated by the atmosphere but, she now is comfortable and eager to find companionship.
We believe she is 2-3 yrs old and her size is about 65 lbs. She is a charmer with people of all ages and selective with dogs. She is eager & compatible to play with males of comparable size but could be aggressive with others, especially alpha types. We were told she was fine with others while at the vet for her spay and vetting overnight.
She is our longest time resident.
A fenced yard is highly recommended.
We are a rural shelter with high intakes. As a result, the shelter dogs are not guaranteed safety. We do our best but, we need help.
ADOPTION FEES APPLY- Dogs $125-$150 Cats $80. (We are not set up for credit or debit payments.)

The shelter is open Monday thru Friday from 9 - 3 p.m. except Thursdays (closed). Saturday hours are by appt.
After hours appts can be arranged with advance notice and an approved application. We want to accommodate!
