My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shasta is a charmer.
She is a sweetheart and easily meets new people. She was abandoned with a fellow dog after the loss of a home by fire.
Her size is about 65 lbs.

We are a rural shelter with high intakes. As a result, the shelter dogs are not guaranteed safety. We do our best but, we need help.

ADOPTION FEES APPLY- Dogs $125-$150 Cats $80. (We are not set up for credit or debit payments.)
Applications are required and can be requested by emailing fopcpky@gmail.com or the foster contact listed if in foster care.

Please visit or make an inquiry by calling this number 606-663-4998. Leave a message on voicemail if you miss the staff. Your calls are VERY IMPORTANT to us!
The shelter is open Monday thru Friday from 9 - 3 p.m. except Thursdays (closed). Saturday hours are by appt.

After hours appts can be arranged with advance notice and an approved application. We want to accommodate!

For an alternate phone, call 859-948-0371. We are glad to answer any questions. Adoption rates are low and include a spay or neuter and rabies. Surgeries are mandatory!
