My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shimmer was left abandoned in an apartment complex. Everyone found him to be a friendly boy but, he clearly had no place to go but he eagerly greeted those who gave him attention. He is gentle and seems calm in nature. He is good with other pets, too.

His size is about 35-38 lbs and he looks to be 2-3 years old. His ears appear to have been scratched or bitten on the edges. We don't know if he was injured or suffered damage in some way. Nevertheless, he is an outgoing content personality.

We are a rural shelter with high intakes. As a result, the shelter dogs are not guaranteed safety. We do our best but, we need help.

ADOPTION FEES APPLY- Dogs $125-$150 Cats $80. (We are not set up for credit or debit payments.)
Applications are required and can be requested by emailing fopcpky@gmail.com or the foster contact listed if in foster care.

The shelter is open Monday thru Friday from 9 - 3 p.m. except Thursdays (closed). Saturday hours are by appt.

After hours appts can be arranged with advance notice and an approved application. We want to accommodate!
