My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*Name: Dolly

*Age: 5 years old

*Current Weight: 43 pounds

*Adoption fee: Sponsored - No Fee

Meet Dolly, a 43-pound brindle beauty with a heart of gold and an absolute zest for life! This amazing girl and her newborn puppies were originally rescued by SNARR Northeast and given a second chance at a happy life. All of Dolly’s pups have found their forever homes but Dolly remains searching for her happily ever after.

Dolly is an incredibly smart, athletic girl who has excelled in weekly training during her time at the Adoption Center. Dolly is an active dog both physically and mentally. Her capacity to learn new things and problem solve is surely above your average which makes her SO FUN to go on adventures with! She’ll hop in the car and park her cute self in the front seat ready to go whenever you want to take her! While Dolly has energy to burn and needs daily exercise outlets, she’s not hyperactive or bouncing off the walls. She has an excellent chill button and will happily lay at your feet while you watch TV it work from home indoors.

Dolly knows basic commands like sit, stay, down, to wait at doorways and look when you ask for her attention. She also knows how to ring a bell to go out to pee and she responds to Dolly, Come instantly! She is also crate and house trained.

Whether it’s zipping around the yard chasing her favorite giant red ball, hiking in the woods or splashing in pools, Dolly’s companionship is unparalleled. Yes you read that right, Dolly loves to SWIM!! She’s a real dogs dog.

Dolly would thrive in an active home with a fenced-in yard. Despite her tough start in life, Dolly is a happy and positive pup with a silly and joyful personality. She always has a smile on her face and is a joy to be around. The adoption center staff loves her funny antics and is always laughing at her silly behavior.

Dolly is now searching for her forever family who will give her the love and attention she deserves. She would make an excellent exercise buddy and loyal companion. If you're looking for a furry friend who will bring laughter and joy to your life, Dolly is the pup for you! She is currently located at our adoption center in Brewster, NY and is waiting patiently for her forever family to come and take her home. Dolly is located at our Adoption Center in Brewster, NY.

More about this rescue

SNARR Northeast Animal Rescue's mission is "Giving Hope to the Hopeless.” SNARR stands for Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation. We do focus on animals with special needs but we also rescue perfectly healthy dogs as well! SNARR works with municipal shelters all over the country to save animals at risk for being euthanized. Our dogs (and cats) are all in foster homes prior to being adopted.
