This helps Marleigh's Friends with pet care costs.
Bunny came up to us as a stray one cold morning, crying for what we thought was food and shelter. When we brought him in to feed and warm him up, we noticed his tail had been ripped off.
Bunny was immediately taken to our vet for surgery. They determined the likely cause of his injury was from being caught in someone's car engine when seeking shelter from the cold that week.
Because the injury was right there where his nerve endings run, he does have some minor incontinence and occasionally leaks small amounts of urine. He does use the litter box for the bulk of his waste, he mostly leaks when he is asleep and relaxed. He keeps himself very clean despite this.
Bunny is a fun boy to have around. He's super cat friendly and just wants to be friends with all. He is playful and loves to hop around and do zooming through the house. He loves toys, climbing cat trees and scratching on his posts! He comes hopping when you call him and loves drinking water from the sink.
He is super playful and when he is really wound up and feeling frisky, he does occasionally bite (playfully). He has gotten better about not using his teeth or claws as much, but it's something we are still working on, which is why he is currently not recommended with small children.
Please let us know if you are interested in finding out more about Bunny or if you would like to meet him!
