My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Orca is a quiet, settled kitty that enjoys spending her days outside on the screened in area where she can watch everything going on and enjoy the Florida weather. She gets along great with all the other cats in her building but is shy when meeting new people. She would need a quiet home, with lots of love, understanding, and patience to bring out the best in her personality. Come meet Orca! Give her a chance to get to know you—the love and companionship you might get from her could certainly be worth your time!

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
