Orca is a quiet, settled kitty that enjoys spending time out on the screened in area where she can watch everything going on, enjoy the Florida weather, and welcome visitors into her house. She enjoys gentle petting and spending time with the volunteers and strangers that come into her house. She is also exceptionally good with all the other kitties and certainly would not mind sharing her home with another kitty or two.

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
