Update - 1/9: Beau continues to gain weight and do well. He is in boarding right now until an empty foster spot opens up. With loving care, the barrier aggression has proven to be no issue at all. Beau is a big marshmallow! New pics coming soon, as Beau is much more handsome now than when he first came into rescue!
My problems started when I was in a temporary shelter in Waverly, MS right after the hurricane. I would bark at people as they walked by, and some of them started kicking my cage and picking at me to make me bark more. So I did, and unfortunately it became a habit. But my bark is worse than my bite. If I don't scare you, once I'm out I'm a big ole sweetheart.
At some point, I've had a hematoma in my right ear that was not properly seen about. It healed on it's own, but left my ear slightly crooked. I also appear to have been a 'yard dog' my entire life, as my coat is a mess and I have absolutely no manners. But I really want to please, so we're going to work on that.
I am utd on my vaccinations, flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention. I am neutered, and am working very hard on house training.

Beau must go to an indoor home where he will be an important part of the family. We do not adopt to anyone under the age of 21. Our adoption fee is $250.
Note: Mid-South Shepherd Rescue is a no-kill, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We do not have a shelter location. Our dogs are kept in foster homes as part of a family, to help prepare them for transition into their forever homes.
