Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gosh! Here I am almost 6 months old now and I've had a tough life. My name is Taco. I know, I know, what a horrible name, but maybe if you adopt me you can find something better than the one I came with. Taco! Ugh! Not even funny...
Like my sister, I weigh under 10 lbs. The vet said I'm a pipsqueak and I'm only about 7 lbs. But in that 7 pounds, I'm stuffed full with love! I'm a handsome red-brown color and I have a macho docked tail, but I look mostly like a chihuahua and my voice says chihuahua all the way. My old owners turned me into the shelter with my sister because - can you believe this? - they said we got "too big!" I don't think they cared much about us.
I love cuddling and giving kisses, and even though I'm a little boy, I like being carried around. I like people and my foster dog brother, and most other dogs are great too, once I'm introduced to them. I get the zoomies when I'm playing and I love little treats. Once I've done playing, I like to snooze on a comfy blanket or on your lap. I'll be a great companion to someone who will truly love me and take good care of me.
Come meet me at Petco in Salem NH this Sunday, April 18 from 11-2. If you would like to adopt me, you'll need to complete the rescue adoption application. We'll have some at Petco, or email and they'll send you one on-line.
Taco sleeps in a crate at night or on the bed with you, and he's working hard at housetraining (great with lots of outside trips).
Puppies are a lot of work and require a lot of attention. We look for families who have the time and commitment to raise a great dog.
All dogs adopted from One Tail at a Time Rescue are spayed or neutered, microchipped, up to date with vaccines, have been wormed, and are ready to go to their new homes now. Unless otherwise noted, the dogs on our website are here in foster homes. We prefer adoptive homes in MA and NH -- we do not ship our dogs. Adoption fee $425
