Meet Tripp (short for Tripod), a three-legged German Shepherd mix, about 5 years old and 55lbs. Tripp was hit by a car and his best outcome was to have his left front leg amputated. Tripp is leash-, potty- and crate-trained. He is a very good boy looking for a home to be so spoiled in. But don’t let his disability fool you, Tripp is a puppy at heart! He is silly and playful and runs around the backyard with his foster sister, LuvBug. When he's not playing, you will find Tripp snoozing on the couch. Wherever you are, that’s where he wants to be. He has the cutest squeal when he's excited to see you! Tripp is good with small humans and other dogs. He should be watched around small animals; he has shown some prey drive with my chickens, although he will listen when I tell him no.
ASVT does not have a facility; all of our adoptable pets live in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted. No one takes a salary so all donations and grants are used for the rescue animals.
