Gemma’s Rescue Story
Gemma and her 5 siblings, along with their mom, Gina the Hound, were abandoned in a remote mountain area where shelter, food and water are always difficult to find. They were destined to live a very hard life and would probably end up getting hurt or disappear suddenly. It’s still a mystery how malnourished Gina looked after her 6 baby pups at that time in such a deserted place. Luckily, a gentle elderly man spotted weak and skinny Gina and her baby pups. He didn’t know what to do so he reached out to us for help. We agreed to take them in but with this comes a huge responsibility and as well as the medical cost. It’s never easy to take in puppies as they have to be quarantined first and have lots of socialization from the beginning before they are ready for adoption.
From the street to a comfy bed at the foster with hot meals, the 6 “G” pups are all set to find their own homes and get all the love and care they deserve.
Meet Gemma
Gemma is a confident and playful pup. She’s perfectly fine being with other dogs as she grew up with her 5 other siblings. What has surprised us most is that she gets along so peacefully and calmly with 10 cats at the foster’s while she is the only canine dude in the house. She loves cuddles and being around her human. She rides well in a car, and she takes treats gently from hands. Gemma might turn shy or anxious around men. It may take a few instances of being in the same room (with or without any contact) before she becomes comfortable with the man. However, treats are a good idea to start. She’s more than willing to befriend anyone with treats immediately. Gemma might be an occasional enthusiastic chewer as her canine permanent teeth just started coming in, so make sure she has plenty of soft and flexible toys to chew on. Gemma is crate-trained and housebroken, potty trained both on pee pads and outside. Little Gemma is now looking for a loving home and for a chance to shower you with much love and joy!
Please watch Gemma’s videos to learn more about her. If you are interested in this precious brindle beagle with big floppy ears, feel free to contact us for more information or simply fill out the adoption form on our website.
