Here's what the humans have to say about me:
One of our favorites is Wednesday. She is a senior medium/long haired black sweetie with a heart condition. We will be getting a recheck soon, but she is not on daily medication and is doing well. Wednesday loves playing with wand toys and enjoys meeting with friends at the water cooler (fountain). Her foster parents say she likes to be brushed but not on her belly. She comes over to her foster mom while she's relaxing and will lay next to her and she will let her foster dad cradle her like a baby. She doesn't mind being held for a short while. Wednesday is a beautiful petite (about 6 lbs) senior (about 12 yrs old) medium haired black beauty with a heart murmur in need of the best loving home. We rescued her from a local shelter where she was scared and lonely after her previous owner passed away. We drove in the pouring rain to pick her up before she was out of time at the shelter. She is now comfy in her foster home. We got her to our vet specialist who examined her heart and overall health and the good news is that her heart murmur and arrythmia does not seem to be as severe as it was first diagnosed. She does not need to be on medication for it at this time. Her bloodwork looked normal, she had some tartar on her teeth we picked off because we feel it's unsafe for her to go under anesthesia for a full dental cleaning. Overall she's in fair health for an old lady. She would be happiest as the only cat or pet with no kids in the house to keep a quiet environment for her but she has become good friends with the cats in her foster home. She is vocal and affectionate, will come up to you and rub her face on you. She is a picky eater but we found what she likes. All cats are at least 8 weeks old at time of adoption, are spayed/neutered, FeLV/FIV tested, dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated (FVRCP and rabies), and given a starter dose of flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Adoption application does not guarantee adoption. We have a no declawing policy and all cats are placed in indoor homes only. If interested, first step is to apply at rescueangelssomd.com. If pet is listed here, he/she is still available.
