My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gypsy is playful, enjoys catnip toys, sparkle balls, teaser wands and feathers. She appreciates places to hide and enjoys napping at the top of a cat tower. Gypsy gets a charge out of being in a Catio (enclosed patio for cats) where she can watch the birds and chase bugs. Gypsy came to Friends of Jackson County rescue traumatized when discovered on an interstate ramp. Her post traumatic symptoms are fearfulness and interacting with people. Gypsy does not like to be held, confined or being put in a trapped situation. In a stable home with routines and a respect for her fear, Gypsy is a perfectly pleasant house cat. She needs stability, space and her human companion to respect her boundaries and limitations. Gypsy will be dependent on you to take care of her. Her ideal home is with adult people, preferably someone who is experienced with cats and is capable of continuing to work with her and follow her care and training plan to continue positive progress. Gypsy must be an inside kitty only. She is very social towards other cats and gentle with kittens. It would be in Gypsy's favor if she was adopted with another cat that she pals around with; recommendation can be provided. A home with no dogs is preferred. Gypsy is 1 year old with a black medium length coat.
