My story

Here are the requirements for Patcher’s forever home:
FIRST, she needs another dog about her size to play with.
SECOND, she needs a regular routine that she can count on from day to day.
THIRD, she is an escape artist, so she needs a securely fenced yard. Chain link or wood are preferred.
FOURTH, her adopter must be calm and patient and give her time to adjust to the changes in her life.
Patches is about 1.5 to 2 years old, 20 pounds and the best guess for her breed is Jack Russell/Hound/Dachshund blend. Before coming into rescue, Patches lived with 2 other dogs. When their owner died, they had no place to go. Also in foster care is her mother, Sadie. It would be great if they could be adopted together but is not a requirement.
Patches is super sweet, very smart and learns fast. She enjoys playing in the fenced yard in her foster home. She is just learning to play with toys and prefers the crinkly ones. Patches is shy with new people and situations. Mostly, she would like her human to be home a lot so she doesn’t get lonely.
Patches is housetrained to a doggy door and if she has appropriate chews available, she can entertain herself. She will sometimes jump on people, so children over the age of 10 would be best.
