Here's what the humans have to say about me:
** FIV and FeLV positive - regressive ** open to a palliative foster
My “friends” and I were a transplant from another rescue in Mississauga that was shutting down. I made it abundantly clear that I have this name for a reason. While I can be nervous at first, I am a very outgoing and confident boy. I am very affectionate and love human attention, but it has to be on my terms. I don’t really like being picked up, but tolerate it sometimes. I like playing with toys in moderation but I’m more so interested in the head pats. I get along well with other cats, but will need to be carefully introduced as I can be selective and be a bit of a bully sometimes. I am positive for both FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) and FeLV (feline leukemia). This means my immune system is not as strong and more susceptible to illness. My FeLV qPCR indicates that the type I have is regressive, which means I am at reduced risk of shedding the virus and contracting FeLV related illness. Current literature also says we have a 93% chance of living beyond 4 years. It’s important that I am kept indoor only, provided proper nutrition, and have as low stress of an environment as possible. It’s also important for me to have routine vet care and monitored closely for any signs of illness.
A palliative foster means that we provide supplies and vet care needed (as long as you use one of our partner vets), all we ask is that you provide our cat(s) with a loving home with lots of attention for the remainder of their life, or until it no longer works for you (or if you end up wanting to adopt!).Applications are reviewed in order received until an appropriate match is made.

More about this rescue
We take in cats that are abandoned or born in colonies that animal control for the area does not wish to accept or keep. We also take cats that other rescues cannot place (due to location, age, colour, or quantity). We will take owner surrenders if other options are unwilling to take. In short, we take in cats that have few to no other options.
