Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Diamond's Friends Pet Rescue is looking for an adoptive home for Olina (means joyous in Hawaiian). We originally met her on a trip to Kauai in September when she was enduring the absolute filth at the Kokee kennels (where lost hunting dogs are placed). She is now at the local humane society. TWO. MONTHS. LATER. We had seen her pop up as a wandering stray on Facebook a few times, and she’s finally made her way to the shelter.
There is no doubt that her owner has absolutely failed her multiple times, and now she’s looking for a home.
She is a good dog. We take that back. She is a GREAT dog. About 4 years old. Weighs roughly 45lbs and is good with other dogs her size or larger. Her tail just kept wagging and wagging when we met her even though she was stuck in some of the most disgusting conditions we had ever seen. She was the epitome of the word joyous, hence her name. We wanted to take her the second we met her in September…but legally we couldn’t. Now that she’s through her stray hold, we can’t help her without a committed foster or foster to adopt home.
This dog deserves someone who will never fail her again. Whoever adopts her is going to be SO lucky. If you want to help her, please email info@diamondsfriends.org.
