My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Idaho Spudington, aka Spud aka The Potato. Spud was a premature baby who is the only survivor out of her litter. She had to be tube fed for the first 5 days before she learned to suckle on a nipple. When they say it takes a village, it truly took a village to raise her. Spud had 5 mommies bottle feeding her round the clock for the first 6 weeks until she finally learned to eat off a plate. Spud is petite but don’t let her size fool you. She is full of energy, demanding and wants to be with you always. Spud knows nothing about personal space so don’t be surprised if she jumps on your back or sleeps on your head! She gets along with dogs and cats and would do best in a home with other animals. If you are looking for an interactive cat then Idaho Spudington is the one for you!

To fill out an application please email us at PurRescue@yahoo.com.

All cats are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, testing for FeLV/FIV, fecal and age appropriate shots. The adoption fee is $100 which helps to offset some of our vetting costs.

More about this rescue

PurRescue was founded in July of 2017 by rescuers who have been fostering since 2007 for other organizations. We are a small group that primarily rescues cats and finds them fur-ever homes with deserving families. Occasionally we also rescue dogs in need. We engage in TNR, Trap-Neuter-Return of community cats in order to reduce the population of unwanted cats.
