Mystic was surrendered by her owner. She was born on 2/21/22 and is a pitbull mix. Mystic was a house dog and was an only child. It is unknown why she was surrendered but she is very sweet. She was a big hit at the vet's office. Mystic loves people and should do fine with other dogs although she is not used to them and will need slow introductions so that she doesn't get overwhelmed or intimidated. Mystic tends to be alittle unsure in new situations so she needs some time to adjust and acclimate to her new surroundings. Mystic would definitely benefit from getting out and about and being introduced to new situations. She is still young enough that she can learn new skills and develop an understanding that the outside world will not hurt her. She did do very well at the vet and was wagging her tail and excited to see everyone. She hasn't completely learned not to jump on people yet so she needs some work with that. She tends to pull on the leash but does walk on one. She might benefit from a harness ir a halti to control her better while on leash. Mystic is not a yappy dog or a barker. She also loves to ride and will load up fine. She listens and responds quite well to instruction so she does seem very smart and eager to follow your lead. She is a people pleaser and a very good girl. We don't know how she does with cats. We don't think she has been around any. She is basically still a puppy and very young so she can be rambunctious and energetic, which may be too much for cats and very young children. She is not a huge dogs but she is a larger medium to a smaller large dog.
Mystic was kept up on her vetting, for the most part,by her former owner but we did get her exam, fecal and heartworm test updated to ensure that she is on good health. She was found to have no issues as of 12/19/22 and was heartworm and fecal negative. She was started back on Simparica Trio and is ready to find her new family! She looks forward to being a household once again. Mystic weighed 55 pounds as of 12/19/22.
If interested in giving Mystic her forever home, please submit your interest and your adoption application via email or text ONLY to 352-215-3260 (phone calls will not be answered or returned from this number). More about this rescue
We are a small rescue started in September 2004. To date, we have adopted out over 1,000 dogs and cats who may not have had a second chance. We rescue the majority of our pets from kill shelters and have them thoroughly vetted prior to going to their new homes. All of our pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm checked(dogs) and dewormed. We also microchip our dogs so that they can always find their way home. Big and small, we work to rehome them all. We are always in need of donations so if you can help us to help our pets, please contact us! The more people who get involved, the more pets that we can save! You can also see our pets and/or fill out our adoption application on www.petfinder.com. We look forward to hearing from you and making that "forever match"!
