Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Izzy is a sweet little senior weighing just 9 pounds. She is 13 years old and is being fostered in Summerfield, Florida.
Izzy must be adopted within 250 miles of her foster home in Summerfield, Florida.
Bio Update 12/04/22:
Izzy here to wish everyone a HAPPY PAWLIDAY SEASON! I wanted to share with you all that I had my second eye surgery right around Thanksgiving and I sure am thankful! Foster Momma tells me that if I am a VERY GOOD little Yorkie that SANTA PAWS will leave something for me under the tree but I have already been given so much. Through the goodness of ALL OF YOU, I have already been blessed with my very own Christmas MIRACLE of sight in the form of two cutting-edge eye surgeries that have transformed my WHOLE WORLD! The Eye Dogtor says just a few more weeks and Im ready for my FUREVER HOME so we will be taking adoption applications very soon! My perfect home would be one where my new pawrents are retired or work from home (or can take me to work) because I dislike being alone very much. Another small, mellow dog to play with would be nice or Im happy to be an only child too (as long as I get lots of love and attention). I will need to be on specially compounded eye drops for the rest of my life (estimated cost $130 every 2 months) and I will need to see my veterinary ophthalmologist every 6 months for checkups to make sure my new tear ducts are functioning as they should. Foster Mom would very much like to keep my close to the Gainesville area so I can continue to see Dr. Mangan at IVS but she would consider adopters who are willing to drive me there. I also need a special feeding routine which means instead of big meals once or twice a day my special food is apportioned out to me in regular intervals throughout the day. This ensures the regular flow of lubricating saliva (my new tears) to my eyes. I am pretty good about going potty where Im supposed to (potty pad or outside) but I am not yet perfect in that regard. I like leash walks and playing with toys and especially killing the squeakers LOL. I love laying on my persons chest while I nap and sleeping in bed with my HOOMAN. If you think you might be perfect for me please apply!
