I have a 2 year old purebred border collie named Kitt. We got her in May 2022 from a family member in Illinois.
When I went to visit and see if Kitt would be a good fit for our family she seemed to do amazing with my in-laws' kids ( ages: 6, 4, 10 months old). And Kitt has been great around our little boy for months.
There was an instance where she growled at him when he reached out and pulled her fur. She LOVES kids a little older, about 4 years and up. She has done really well around other dogs, and we are looking to place her in a home where she has a dog (or dogs) to play with.
She struggles to trust some men, and has bitten one man when she thought he was reaching down for the baby. She also nipped my mom below the eye when she did the same thing. Other than an apparent "resource guarding" reaction, she is an AMAZING dog who listens well and is incredibly loyal, intelligent, and protective.
She is very active and loves hikes, walks, running, etc., and needs daily exercise.
