I was purchased from a breeder in Arkansas, and when I was 6 weeks old I contracted parvo virus. My owners took me to the vet, and I made a full recovery! Unfortunately, my treatment was very expensive, and my owners were unable to pay my bill, so I stayed at the vet's office while they decided to what to do. That was 5 and a half months ago. I'm now 7 months old, and a very healthy, happy boy!
Due to the fact that I spent my early puppyhood at a vet's office instead of a home, I'm a little behind in my social skills. But there are lots of nice people and other dogs in my foster home, so I should catch up in no time at all. I like all the other dogs, and I absolutely adore children! Everything is new to me right now, but I'm soaking it all in and learning as I go. I'm just a happy little guy who walks around wagging my tail all the time and making new discoveries.
I am up to date on routine vaccinations, heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention. They tell me I'm getting neutered on Monday, whatever that means! Then I'll be ready for my new home. Could it be with you?
Dylan must go to an indoor home where he will be an important part of the family. We do not adopt to anyone under the age of 21. Our adoption fee is $250.
Note: Mid-South Shepherd Rescue is a no-kill, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We do not have a shelter location.
