My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Luna. My caretaker noticed me in October 2022 when I became a frequent visitor in her colony. She noticed how skinny I was and one day she saw me eating. She was very worried when she saw how after taking one bit of wet food I started to scream, paw my face, and roll around hurting myself. My life changed when I was brought into the vet by my caretaker to have my mouth checked out. I had to go in a trap because I was labeled as a feral cat. While waiting for my sedated exam the technician at the vet also noticed that I was pawing my face a lot and would scream and flip around my trap. During my exam it was noticed that I had a horrible dental disease. All my teeth had to be extracted (except my top canines). I got to stay at the vet clinic to recover for 2 weeks and then I would be released to my colony. That’s where I met my rescuer who reached out to a rescue, so I won’t have to go back in the cold outdoors. My rescuer was one of the technicians who cared for me and became bonded to me and realized that I was misunderstood. I was only a moody cat because of the pain in my mouth but after my dental I was pain free. I allowed the technician to carry me, and I enjoyed being held in her arms. I no longer pawed by face for just taking one bit and was able to enjoy all my meals. I am now a happy indoor cat who is no longer scared to eat and gaining all the healthy weigh.

A few words from foster mom: Luna is a cat who loves all my friends that visit. She enjoys being held and could stay in your arms forever. She even loves to hug and cuddle. She is an amazing, sweet cat.
