Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Rosie! She is one of the bestest doggos you'll ever meet! She is around 3.5 yrs old and 51 lbs. Rosie ended up at a county shelter with another dog back in September of 2022. When her friend was adopted, Rosie was so lonely and shut down. HFGM pulled her in November, and she's been in a foster home with 3 other dogs since then. Her foster family has these things to say about Rosie:
*She loves other dogs, especially those with lots of energy to match her play style! She loves to chase and be chased, but she LOVES tennis balls and playing fetch! She also loves playing with the water hose....maybe she's a swimmer?!
*She is fairly high energy and will need people who have time to spend playing/walking/hiking with her.
*She is very loving and affectionate! She is cuddly with people and other dogs and is happy to snuggle up on the couch at the end of the day!
*She knows sit, paw and wait and will do so nicely, especially when it's mealtime. She tends to be jumpy when she is excited, but we're working on "off".
*Young children make her nervous so she would do best in a home with no kids or older kids who are respectful of animals.
*She will probably always be shy and a little wary of new people and new situations. She will need a patient and understanding family as she figures out new routines, places, and meets new people.
*We think she is either a very sensitive soul, or someone was mean to her at one point. If you raise your voice, she nervous pees, and runs and hides. It's heartbreaking.
*She has a strong prey drive so she would be best in a home with no small animals. We think she may be OK with slow and proper introductions with cats.
*She is crate trained, although she is non-destructive and house trained so we don't use the crate with her any longer. The crate provides her with a safe place in new situations.
If you think this sweet girl might be a good fit for you please fill out an application and come meet Rosie! She will definitely steal your heart.
