Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Introducing DIOR
Dior is a stunning 2 year old spayed female German Shepherd mix! She is on the smaller side at 51lbs, most likely due to the breed mix, which we think might be Australian Shepherd. See that twinkle in her eye? It's not from the lighting! Dior has a blue speck in her right eye and we think her features are just gorgeous!
Dior is an extremely high energy sweetheart who loves to play with toys and could play fetch all day long! She is incredibly intelligent, food motivated and does the cutest head tilts when you talk to her. She rides extremely well in a vehicle and would make an excellent hiking buddy for an active person or family. She will need to be exercised daily, we're talking full sprints, as a bored dog will be a destructive and unruly one. Due to her breeds exercise needs, we would prefer a fenced in yard for her to be able to run in however if someone is willing to prove that they would run her daily then we are absolutely open to having a discussion. Dior is up to date on all her vaccines, HW negative and microchipped.
With proper introduction, Dior is dog friendly, cat friendly (although she does enjoy a good chase) and child friendly. Unfortunately, due to a lack of socialization for her first two years, she is currently leash reactive; meaning, Dior will react overly excited when she's sees another dog walking outside but she remains perfectly unphased if she is off leash in a dog park playing fetch. She has attended Fetch dog park in Buckhead and Atlanta numerous times and has not displayed any aggressive behavior towards any other dog. We are doing our best to desensitize her in regard to being leash reactive, however we believe someone with German Shepherd experience or someone who would be willing to have her professionally trained could easily resolve this issue. Due to her strength however, we are not recommending any children (young or older) walk her until she has received professional training.
Dior truly is an incredible dog who loves her people fiercely. She deserves a home that understands her training needs and spoils her rotten with attention, socialization, stimulation and exercise! Could you be her forever family? Apply today!

The Maddux Movement (TMM) is a non-profit foster based Dalmatian rescue located in Atlanta, GA. Although our rescue is breed focused, we are not a breed restrictive rescue. Our mission is to rescue and rehome animals that are in abusive, neglectful or endangering situations, which includes traditional or open admission shelters, strays, owner surrenders and puppy mills. Adoptions are not based on a first come first serve basis. The individual(s) selected will be chosen based on the needs of each individual dog.
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (including leptospirosis and canine influenza).
Additionally, each adopted dog will be sent home with a new Fi Series 2 GPS Tracker Smart Dog Collar (without subscription), a copy of The Forever Dog by Rodney Habib and Dr. Karen Becker and a complimentary dog blanket.
