My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Maggie entered Today's Treasures Rescue and Adoption October 17th. It will be at least 8 weeks before she will be available for adoption.

Maggie was turned in to the Chilton County humane society after Hurricane Katrina. Her previous owners lost their home and had to relocate to Alabama. Maggie was not allowed where they chose to live.

She is a pretty catahoula leopard dog that is about 2 years old. She was already spayed before coming to the shelter. However, Maggie had not been on heartworm prevention and tested positive for heartworms.

Normally, TTRA can not accept a heartworm positive dog into foster care because of the expense involved in heartworm treatment. But thanks to Catahoula rescue and Dr. Honeycutt enough funds were raised to have her treated.

Updates will be posted about Maggie as progress is made and more is discovered about her personality.
