We asked foster mom to describe Talissa and "smart" was out of her mouth before we even finished the sentence. Of course, happy, beautiful and fun were the next descriptors to summarize this cutie.
Training has been a lot of fun with her, as she quickly learns new tricks. With Talissa's passion for food combined with her foster mom's training savvy, she has learned sit, down, spin, place, to wait for meals, is a pro walker, is housetrained and crate-trained and has a few other tricks up her paws (check out her videos on youtube).
She is a lot of fun to be with, whether she is interacting with you, her canine foster bro, or her favourite toys. Her happiness can be seen head to tail (and in between as her tail wags resonate throughout her entire body).
For Talissa’s future home, a canine bestie is key -both for confidence and for playtime. People home most of the time will be ideal for setting her up for success as she is still young. Talissa is a very gentle girl, and we think she would do well with children. She did pass her cat test in Mexico and any cat interactions would likely be with the intent to play. She can jump up sometimes from excitement, but it is something foster mom is working on with her. A secure yard is also a must to help her get her zoomies out!
If you are interested in adopting this smart girl, check out the adoption process and application at www.dibsrescue.com. Her adoption fee is $750. If you are a family with kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply. (https://dibsrescue.com/kids-dogs/ ).
