Hello, it's nice to meet you. My name is Queenie and, yes, my personality lives up to the name. I tend to be a little shy when you first meet me but give me some treats and some ear scratches and you will soon learn I have a heart of gold. All I want is someone to pet me and tell me I am the prettiest girl in all the land. My list of hobbies include sunning myself and climbing my tower to watch the goings-on in my foster home. The other foster cats in my home are all mellow so we get along well and, in a previous foster home, there was a cat-friendly dog that was OK with me. Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
