Hey everyone, I’m Tokyo! I’m 6 years old and everyone that meets me agrees, I’m a total catch! I get along with everyone and everything! I love other dogs, they make my tail wag with happiness! I like cats too, and guess what? They even like me too! Oh and kiddos, they are great fun! I love sitting with them and while they read to me or playing catch in the backyard. I have a lot in common with kids, they like to laugh and be silly, just like me. Smiling is my favourite thing, you’ll see! While I was in foster care, I had surgery on my knee to repair a torn ligament. My surgery was a huge success and the vet has said that my knee is almost fully healed! I have been taking it easy while I recover by going on gentle walks and playing softly with my foster Dad and furry foster siblings. But if you ask me what I really want to do, what I really, really want…it’s to find a home that wants to play and make memories with me! I am such a good girl, I could go anywhere with you! I’m always up for an adventure and if I have you by my side, I promise it will be extra sweet. Are you the family for me?

Now that Tokyo has fully recovered medically, and she is healing emotionally, she is ready and deserving of her very own fabulous forever family!
Tokyo tidbits:
She requires an active family that enjoys walking and spending time in nature (she likes to chase squirrels!)
She is searching for a family that will play and engage her in games that bring her joy (playing catch, belly rubs, enrichment toys)
She will need to be on joint supplements for the rest of her life. She is currently on one called 4cyte (https://au.4cyte.global/dogs/)
She starts physio in December and her new family must be willing to complete the physio in Toronto (weekly, which is paid for by our rescue) or agree to seek out their own physio care to ensure she is recuperating successfully
She is goofy and will definitely make you laugh!
She likes to eat!
She is a snuggle bug!
She loves chill time as much as she loves playtime!
Loud noises are scary for Tokyo. She will need a patient home that can help her feel safe and secure
