My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kitty is a mature female of about 10 years of age who has diabetes. She is quite a sweetie but would need a calm, quiet home - one with an equally mature person and one where she is the centre of attention as the only pet. Our technicians will ensure you are prepared to provide her the medical care necessary for managing her Diabetes - you will also have round the clock support!

Kitty is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines, deworming and flea and tick prevention. If you could use a constant, loyal companion, please fill out our adoption application at allistonhumane.com and one of our adoption coordinators will reach out to you.

Go meet their pets

The Alliston & District Humane Society shelter is open to the public on the last Sunday of every month! Come on out and visit our shelter, meet the animals and the volunteers who make all this possible. At all other times, the shelter is open on an appointment-only basis.

More about this rescue

The ADHS attempts to provide shelter for stray and unwanted animals with priority given to abused and neglected animals. The ADHS provides a lost and found reporting service, humane education, and a full range of shelter and foster care and adoption services for cats, dogs, and small animals. Dedicated volunteers make all of these services possible. ADHS has NO PAID employees. The ADHS strives for a 100% adoption rate, with a NO KILL policy for all animals deemed adoptable. Those animals deemed 'unadoptable' by a veterinarian due to illness, severe injuries or of unsuitable or dangerous temperament are humanely euthanized.
