Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there! My name is Annie! I was found at a mobile home park with a severly injured eye. Thankfully Macomb County Animal Control found me in the nick of time! With the welfare fund donated by gracious donors, I was able to recieve the much needed emergency surgery, and had my eye removed. Unfortunately it was not able to be saved. I`m all healed now and ready to find my forever home.
Since in my foster home, I am happy to announce I am healthy, but can be timid at first. Becuase I was found outside, chances are I was no living inside a home, so loud noises tend to scare me. I take time to get to know. Once I get to know you I am very loveable! With a slow introduction to new cats/kittens and dogs.
While doing routine bloodwork and testing, it was discovered that I am FIV positive. FIV stands for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. There is no cure for FIV, however cats can live long, healthy lives with it. FIV can cause a weakened immune system, so this is why it is important that I stay on a regular schedule to visit the vet. Cats with FIV can also live with other unaffected cats, as long as there is no fighting, as FIV can be transmitted through deep bite wounds. Please ask a staff member for more information on FIV.
I`m up to date on age appropriate vaccines, however I will need to see my new veterinarian within two weeks of my adoption to ensure that I stay healthy and keep on a regular vaccination schedule!
My adoption fee is $50, thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation.
