Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is one silly, loving 1-year old lady. She is ready to find her furever home. She would do fabulous with a human who loves to snuggle, be hugged, and run around outside with each other. This is an up-for-anything kind of dog who just wants to be loved and hugged. Yes, she hugs and will rest her head on your shoulder!! She was a momma before ASF brought her in. She had grown out nails and needed a good bath and brushing. She let her foster mom trim her nails and bath her with no issue! Brushing is a little strange still - she wants to twirl around and check out what is taking her fur away.
Mellow will bark out of excitement and when you first get home, or someone comes into the house. After checking them out and settling down, she is quiet and expecting pets and attention. This seems to be purely an excited or attention seeking habit that should improve over time and with some manners training! She is a snuggle bug - she loves to sleep on the bed and hang on the couch or floor. Mellow just wants to be where the love/humans are. She likes to be goofy running around outside chasing the toys I throw. She has no idea how to bring the ball back but she's so happy to run out to the ball to check it out. She will come bouncing back very proud of herself for going out and looking at the toy!
Mellow is food motivated and loves to eat. She is willing to learn with food motivation. She will give you all she has for a treat! - Good with dogs, cats, bunnies, and chickens - 32 pounds - Mix, not pure bred FOSTER NOTES: She will go into a crate just fine. I've used it when I leave the house. Overall, she has gotten better every day I've had her with me. She gets along beautifully with chickens and all sorts of dogs too. She doesn't know a stranger as long as they are patient and let her come to them. Once she is comfortable with you, your hands will forever be busy giving her hugs, belly rubs, and snuggles. You will find yourself looking into her eyes telling her she's safe and very loved. She will melt your heart and give you a good laugh daily. (Knoxville, TN)
