Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jerry (M) is a 9 year old Bull Terrier. He is currently living in the country with two canine foster brothers, 18 chickens and his foster parents!
Jerry is house and crate trained. He happily goes in his crate on command and is content to nap for long chunks of the day, or hangout beside his people. Jerry is a curious boy and likes to check everything out before napping on his favorite dog bed, and sighing dramatically at his people!
Jerry lives with two male dogs and happily ignores them for the most part, but sometimes gets the zoomies and plays with them on walks. He can be reactive meeting new dogs, but after proper introductions and guidance from his people, or with a focus on calm coexistence he is happy to ignore them and get attention from his people (or nap). In his intake home, he was happy exploring the countryside with his two canine foster brothers, and is happy to leave the chickens alone, and in the city he is happy co-existing with his cat foster brother. Jerry is a headstrong and stubborn typical bull terrier, so not all other dogs will appreciate his energy and attitude. Well balanced dogs, or dogs familiar with bully breeds would be his best friends. Once he's met friends he is playful and goofy, and enjoys body checking them.
Jerry walks well on leash for the most part, although sometimes needs reminders to walk beside his people. In his rural foster home, Jerry mostly explores and sniffs to his heart's content on a long line. He likes to stay near his people naturally, but does need work on recall and handler focus - the world is just such an exciting place!
Jerry loves all people that he has met, and is very playful. He enjoys itches and attention, but can jump up on people as well. Sometimes he ignores his people, but other times he seeks out pets and wants to sit on their lap.
Although Jerry is a well experienced 9 year old, he still has lots of energy and spunk in him! Jerry is a goofy little dinosaur looking for a furever home to give him lots of fun, games and love!
