My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Terry is a young two-year-old black male who is quite shy. Like Bello and Leia, his favourite place to be is up high lounging on the kitty couch. The three of them have become bonded to each other while at ADHS and prefer each other’s company over that of people. Terry and Bello should definitely go to a home together with Leia being an ideal third for a family that would accept all of them.

Terry is neutered, microchipped and up to date with vaccines. If you would like to come and meet them, please complete an online cat adoption application at https://allistonhumane.com/cat-adoption-form-1 and one of our adoption coordinators will reach out to you.

Go meet their pets

The Alliston & District Humane Society shelter is open to the public on the last Sunday of every month! Come on out and visit our shelter, meet the animals and the volunteers who make all this possible. At all other times, the shelter is open on an appointment-only basis.

More about this rescue

The ADHS attempts to provide shelter for stray and unwanted animals with priority given to abused and neglected animals. The ADHS provides a lost and found reporting service, humane education, and a full range of shelter and foster care and adoption services for cats, dogs, and small animals. Dedicated volunteers make all of these services possible. ADHS has NO PAID employees. The ADHS strives for a 100% adoption rate, with a NO KILL policy for all animals deemed adoptable. Those animals deemed 'unadoptable' by a veterinarian due to illness, severe injuries or of unsuitable or dangerous temperament are humanely euthanized.
