** PLEASE NOTE: Since we are a shelter, the majority of our dogs have not had the luxury of a foster home. As a result, what we post in reference to their behavior, temperament, likes/dislikes etc is only what we witness here and not in a home atmosphere. ALSO, the breed mix posted is simply a GUESS on our part, we DO NOT do DNA testing.

My sister Ellie Mae and I were part of a humane investigation and were seized with 12 other dogs...all of us living in stacked crates! I know what you are thinking when you see my pictures. Oh, how awful! ...and you are correct my former life was absolutely horrific... BUT that is all in my past. I am only looking forward and that is exactly what my new family will need to do, so sit back, read about the type of "work" my new family and I will need to do together and make sure that you do not feel sorry for me when making your decision to adopt. You see I am safe. I no longer need to be rescued, what I need now is a family committed to training me to my new home, being patient, understanding, and determined. I am NOT at all potty trained. I am NOT pee pad trained. I AM however so loving, friendly, playful, AND cuddly! I am NOT good on a leash and so that is a challenge we must work on. Sadly, as you can see, I am NOT crate trained since I lived in a crate I ate in there, slept in there AND went to the bathroom in there. As you can imagine potty training and leash training will take a lot of time so I will not fit into a busy family where there isn't time to focus on me. I need someone who is structured and consistent and not afraid to go out with me in the cold because again it is winter and I am not at all used to going potty outside so you will need to go with me, teach me, and reward me. Another trained dog would be a huge benefit to ME and YOU for training but understand the training will be a lot of work for YOU and ME. I have not shown any aggression at all with humans, dogs or cats so far in foster care, but young kids in the home would only distract my learning and you're training so a home with no kids or kids over 14 is best. OK, now that all that is out of the way, let me tell you the FUN stuff!! I am a PLAY, PLAY, PLAY girl!! I can run circles around you humans like no other. Afterall, I spent my whole life prior to now in a crate so I have lots of running and playing to make up for! Let's talk food....MY FAVORITE SUBJECT! Due to the fact that I was not fed on a regular basis, I now will take EVERY opportunity to consume food whenever the opportunity arises. That means, if you are eating your "human food" I will assume that you should be sharing with me lol! Evidentially that is not the case according to my foster mom hahaha. It's safe to say that when I hear the "ding" of the microwave, that is my cue to hit the kitchen running in the event any food touches the floor. Oh, and I am looking forward to having my very own wardrobe, what an awesome concept...clothes for canines!! OK, if you have taken the time to read (and reread) this bio and still want to meet me then fill out that application!! love, mimi xoxo
