Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi I'm Rikki, you might remember me as Ricochet the Husky that was found by deputies back in September 2022. I had been shot in the head and was having a seizure when they found me. I'm all healed up, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for my forever home. Please note that I have a well-controlled seizure disorder as a result of being shot.
My birthday is October 26, 2020 - the vet made an educated guess on my age based on my teeth and other things - the rescue picked my birthdate...so I'm a Scorpio if you're into that 🙂.
I'm just under 60lbs. I love people and my ice blue eyes will make you want to pet me. My foster mom has done a great job teaching me about how to behave in a house, with other dogs and people. I'd probably be ok as an only dog, but I'd love to have a playmate or maybe you have a good friend with a nice dog I could hang out with sometimes.
I currently live with a foster brother and sister, and we have visits with my foster mom’s friend’s dogs and sometimes she brings another foster dog home for a few days. We go on adventures to the park, long and short walks, hikes with dogs that don’t live with me, car rides, work, the store, and coffee shops (that includes tasty treats), and appointments (the ladies at the chiropractor tried to keep me ☺️). I'm happy to curl up at your feet as well.
I can be timid around loud sounds (fireworks are terrifying) and raised voices (angry). Treats, words of encouragement and pets help me feel safe when these situations happen. I am crate trained and while I'm not a fan of baths the groomer says I am a good girl. and I lay down for nail trimming. I'll do best in a home with a yard with a 6 foot fence because I do like being outside and sunbathing. If you have respectful kids, I would be happy to meet them. I've been cat tested and would do ok with a dog-savvy kitty. To apply to adopt me, www.mikeyschance.com/adopt-a-dog
