NOTE: Yeti is currently in a foster-to-adopt trial, but we are accepting backup applications in case it ends up not being a good fit for her.

We are looking for a foster to adopt home for Yeti in Newport Beach/Costa Mesa/Huntington Beach ONLY as she won't be officially ready for adoption until we get her spayed and have her teeth cleaned on 12/1.

This adorable little 10lbs maltese/doxie mix was found wandering the streets of LA. A good samaritan managed to catch her and found her owner who, sadly, decided they didn't want her anymore.

We are guessing she is about three olds. She hasn't had an accident in the house yet, is good in her crate, and seems to prefer the company of women to men. She's hand-shy, likely from her time on the streets, so she will need a home that is willing to be patient with her and give her time to trust.

She truly just wants to be near you and be a lap dog. She's a total love once she warms up to you (give her 10 minutes and she's good to go).

She does bark at strangers and new dogs, but it's entirely fear-based. While she is coexisting peacefully with the resident dog in her foster home, we are recommending her as an only pup.
