My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scotch is a sweet and sassy 8-year-old girl who loves to be the center of attention.  She’s fully adjusted to the comfy life of an indoor kitty, and is very good about communicating what she wants – whether it's play time, dinner time, or (most often) time for a nap on her human’s lap. She lets you know what she wants!  She does also let you know when she’s done with playtime or petting, so she’ll do best in a home without small children, and she hasn’t gotten along well in the past with other cats or energetic dogs. 
 
She still has plenty of energy herself – she loves a good round of chasing the laser pointer, feather birds, or sometimes her own tail.  Followed, of course, by a long nap in a warm spot.  If you can give her a quiet home with plenty of snuggle time, contact the MCSPCA to arrange to meet this wonderful, beautiful girl.

To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat either virtually or in person in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
