Dante and his brother Ethan are excellent with children and adore their 6 year old foster brother. Indeed, they insist on spending as much time as possible with him and sleeping with him. They would do well at a home with children and lots of human interaction.
Dante MUST be adopted with his bonded brother Ethan.
Dante's mother was heavily pregnant when she was rescued by Abbey Cats; and not a moment too soon. He and his siblings were born the next day in his foster home.
Dante is an exuberant kitten and loves life. His hobbies include jumping, playing with string and finding his foster family to demand cuddles. He will call out for attention, and he is a master trainer, his foster family comes running.
Dante is a bit uncoordinated and sometimes loses his balance, but none of this stops him; he climbs, jumps and runs. He does require a home that can be sensitive to his special needs. Dante will sometimes need help getting onto the sofa or going down stairs.
The vet advised us that Dante has some mild damage to his cerebellum and likely has a very mild case of cerebral hyperplasia (CH). This happened in utero.
His condition does not at all impact his quality of life, it’s longevity and is certainly not degenerative.
However as the results of this Dante is a bit wobbly at times, normally when running and jumping (both things he loves to do). He also is a wobbly during littering, which means that his forever parent has to be careful to ensure his paws are cleaned, the litter is clean and that they have a low litter box.
Dante’s special needs don’t stop him from doing all the amazing kitten things, he loves to play, rough house with his brother, Ethan, and to cuddle.
He just needs a home with a bit of patience and some understanding, and in return he is the most loving kitten and will shower his forever parent with head butts, purrs and face licks.

Dante is a super special cat, who needs a special family. Are you the right one?
Dante MUST be adopted in a home with his bonded brother Ethan, to a home that can offer him the special care this wonderful boy might need.
Please bear in mind that it is against Abbey Cat policy to adopt a single kitten under the age of 6 months to a home without a kitten of similar age for company.
