Meet Chappie!
Chappie is dog social, peaceful with cats, crate trained, and mellow! What more could you ask for? He has met dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities and fits in seamlessly. Chappie is often the go-to for learning a new dog's personality because he respects the other dog's boundaries and is also willing to play. He is currently in a foster home with 3 other dogs as well as 3 cats.
Chappie's current favorite place to hang out is on the doggy bed. He spends most of his day napping and taking in the sights around him. He likes to look out the window as the world goes by and will even occasionally watch some TV, tilting his head back and forth as he is trying to figure out what the people are saying. Chappie is very curious but is still working on his bravery. He may look large and intimidating but this sweet and gentle boy just wants a nice, quiet home where he can relax and cuddle. His foster took him on his first walk outside of the shelter where he had to get over his fear of the fire hydrant. While he still thinks those things are sketchy, he will now walk within 2 feet of them with confidence.
Although we believe Chappie has never truly lived the indoor pet life, except for maybe as a very young puppy, he has adjusted fairly quickly to apartment living with his foster. He doesn't jump on furniture, he so far ignores people food, and he is learning to go to the front door when he needs to go out. This goofy and gentle boy has lived his whole life in shelters and it's about time he finds his forever home. Are you the person he has been so patiently waiting for?

Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. While they are with us, every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Their routines include daily playgroups or partnering with dog buddies, quality time walking or being groomed, and two meals a day with dog biscuits for dessert.
All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.
The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300
(unless a reduced fee applies )
