Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Stella is an 11-month-old -45 pound beautiful Dutch Shepherd. She is super smart, responsive, full of energy and a love. She would make a great companion for someone who is VERY active. A perfect dog for advanced obedience training, agility, really any kind of training- she loves to work and run, learns really fast and is a great jumper! She is very treat and toy motivated. Stella loves to be with her person all the time if possible- very alert in the world. She is just a wonderful dog! Because of personal reasons in our household we need to find Stella a new home. I adopted her from NADSR when she was 6 months old. Where she was rescued from a breeder along with her other 4 litter mates where She was under socialized, afraid of dogs (besides her litter mates) and most new people. She has grown into a confident and happy girl in the 5 months I have had her. She is comfortable with most women on first meetings and some men, she is nervous around children and has barked at them. She would do best in a quiet and calm household as she is especially nervous with new people in her house. Stella is learning to be comfortable with other dogs -with slow introductions. She is not 100% reliable around our older dachshund she will bite and lunge at him around favorite food items. She seems more reactive around little dogs out in the world (fear barking) and not good with cats. She knows basic obedience: sit, down, come, stay, she is crate trained-we have been working on watch, leave it, go to your bed she learned to shake hands after only a few repetitions. Stella loves to play ball and will chase and bring back the ball all day if you have the time. Stella needs a human companion who has energy and time to continue her training and positive socialization and be her best buddy!
female,11 months old, Spayed, current on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and free of intestinal parasites. she is located in Northern CA but we do adopt out nationally.
