Hello, I`m River! I`ve got a heart full of sweetness and a head full of curiosity. I love to explore, but there`s nothing I love more than cuddling up under a cozy blanket. I`m a big fan of kids, their laughter is my favorite sound. I`ve mastered the art of being a good housemate, keeping things tidy and respecting boundaries. I`m pretty good with other medium and large dogs too. I`m always up for a game of fetch or a leisurely walk. I may not be a puppy, but I`ve got a lot of love to give. Adopt me, and let`s create a river of memories together!

The process is quite simple! Please stop by and see for yourself. All animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to going home.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit open intake shelter that serves all of East Baton Rouge parish. We strive to improve the lives of abandoned, unwanted and abused animals in our parish. We house approximately 400 animals at any given time. We take in 20-30 new animals a day. We are always in need of fosters both short and long term, donations, and volunteers.
