Kaylen is a sweet 8 year old petite Golden Retriever. She tends to gravitate and trust men but also does well with woman. She is potty trained when taken out frequently. She likes to find her favorite spots around the house and those are her safe spaces. Kaylen will do best with at least one calm dog around. The best environment for her would be a family with older children and someone that is home quite a bit for her security. She does best when she is able to roam free. Crates are overwhelming and create anxiety for her. She has been great just hanging around the house and being let out throughout the day. She looks forward to her morning and evening treats! Kaylen is looking for a patient family that will help her to learn to trust people again and show her the love she desires and deserves.
Requirements: • Children 13 years and older. • At least one other (calm) dog in the home. • A house with a secure fenced in yard.
Due to her prior situation, she is still very anxious and does not feel comfortable being touched or petted. We are working on it and in certain situations she will allow it. She does take anxiety medication. She is a precious dog and just wants a home she can live out her life comfortably.
To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
