My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rosie is a female leopard gecko that was surrendered to us on 8/28/22 and is about 6 years old.

Rosie is a curious but also laid-back little lady. She likes people and likes exploring outside of her tank. She also likes climbing into your hair and makes a run for it every chance she has when being held.

Reptiles at Small Pet Safe House are quarantined for a minimum of 30 days to be sure they are healthy and that they can eat and shed without issue. Rosie came to us with significant build up of stuck shed on her feet and as a result she is missing all or part of most of her toes. Shedding continues to be difficult for her - even with a humid hide, higher ambient humidity in her tank, and routine foot soaks - and she still needs some help removing stuck shed from her feeties as well as the tip of her tail and top of her head. We feed a variety of insects including mealworms, dubias, and soldier fly larva. Rosie has a very healthy appetite and has put on several grams during quarantine.

Adopters should be mindful that leopard geckos have a lifespan of 10-20 years in captivity and can reach lengths of up to 10 inches.
