Koko and her sister, Teah, were my grandma's dogs. My grandma passed away in 11/2020, and my family offered to take the dogs with the idea of trying out dog ownership. After 14 months though, we feel the best thing is to separate the dogs. Koko is very quiet and very shy. She has a lot of anxiety. I believe she suffers from Littermate Syndrome. There was an older dog in the house she was raised in and they got along fine. Koko is not destructive or aggressive. She just seems scared and seems happy enough to be mostly ignored. Her sister has adjusted well to our family and come so far. I'm hopeful that someone who can spend the time with Koko will see the same returns.
