Dog Day Out Report from week of October 20th. Today I: went on a nice long walk at the park. I was super excited to go out but was still patient when getting my leash and harness on. I like sticking my head out the window in the car and biting the air. Once we got to the park, I couldn’t wait to stretch my legs and get walking! We walked for many miles, and it was so nice to get some good exercise. I had so much fun sniffing all the squirrel holes and trying to catch lizards! After our walk I got a pupcup, YUM!
Three Words to Describe Me are: Sweet, Curious, Enthusiastic
Notes from My Walker: busy little bumblebee is one of my favorite pups here at the shelter, I can’t believe she is one of the shelters most overlooked dogs. She is sweet, smart, motivated, and not to mention gorgeous and a great size. I love taking her out, while she is excited to go out, she is still patient while getting harnessed up. She has no problems getting in the car and is very good, sitting/laying in the back or putting her head out the window. She does pull a bit on the lead, especially if she sees a critter, but she is a smaller girl, so it is not too hard to manage. She is obsessed with squirrels and lizards and loves checking out holes, bushes, tall grass, and trees in hopes of finding one. She is friendly and non-reactive to other dogs (and often attends playgroup at the shelter), she also ignores bikes, cars, and people when out walking. She is treat motivated and smart, she already knows sit and shake, I think could easily learn more commands. Overall, she is a wonderful dog who would make a great adventure buddy.

Today I: went for a drive and a loooong walk. I was excited to get going but waited patiently as my friend put my harness and leash on. I love adventures and am excited to get in the car and get going. Once we got to the park I saw/smelled so many lizards and squirrels and I wanted to catch them all! I love investigating holes and trees hoping a critter might be lurking nearby. We saw other people and dogs and bikes, but I don’t really care, I just wanted to keep walking and sniffing. I showed off my sit and shake for some yummy treats and finally, we went to Starbucks, and I got a pupcup – delicious!
