Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog like me, with a special story and rescue.
I was first owned by a college student and this is how we know that I am Lab, Shepherd, Beagle mix. She got me as a puppy. My owner got in a car accident, when I jumped out of the car and ran away scared on July 21, 2018! It was scary! People were yelling! She looked for me one time and then she moved away.
I survived on the streets running scared from people and finding food for three full years! I was known by lots of college kids and most regular folks who live and work in a small town. I had two nice women leaving food for me on a regular bases, but I never stopped running from people..
I had two litters of puppies when I was stray. The first litter didn't survive, but 5 puppies from the second litter were found running in a neighborhood and saved! They found nice homes. My last litter were all safe when I delivered 12 puppies in my foster home, just two days after I was trapped and rescued in September 2021! I didn't like that trap, it scared me, but when those rescuers took me home and let me out, I felt my life changing for the best! I was happy and comfortable with those people because I knew they loved me and wanted me!
Life has changed for me living in a foster home. I have proven to be a wonderful family companion. I am house trained, not crate trained, I do fine without a crate. I love dogs and cats and play with a pug/chihuahua in my foster home. I like cats too and don't mind napping with a feline family member.
My foster Mom would like for me to have another dog at home. She feels I will do best having a canine companion because I had dogs in my first home, on the streets, and in my foster home. Since I was stray so long, my rescue wants me to have a safe fenced yard. I have good manners. I'm not much of a barker. I do have some nervous behavior during heavy thunderstorms.
I am 4.5 years old. I weigh about 55-60 pounds. Foster Mom loves me with food sometimes. I like men too. Foster dad lets me snuggle with him on the sofa. I also currently live with teenagers and they do their own thing. I have not been exposed to small/young children.
I'm spayed, chipped. up to date on everything, heartworm negative, and taking flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
