ADOPTED ON AD 04-28-23 Our German shepherd rescue is proud to present for adoption, the happy-go-lucky, love sponge, sir. Nicholas of the red tide (aka. Niko). This wonderful creature came to us through our county shelter after the death of his owner. In that environment he was poorly fed, poorly socialized, poorly vetted, exercised and poorly trained, all of which this special guy refused to let define him. Niko has shown a real affinity for life, overcoming all of his past to excel as a family member in all aspects. This guy is about 5 years old but runs with agility of a gazelle, plays like a puppy and loves like a senior.
Our boy is presently about 80 pounds but if he grows into those feet and ears, he will easily break the century mark. Niko has perfect symmetry, perfect gait, perfect disposition and a classic black and tan coat. After this young man was brought back to good health and his muscle mass was reconstituted, he was brought through our socialization and training programs where he excelled in all aspects. These programs revealed a strong human desire, a strong desire to train, a solid and well-rounded personality, and a calm approach to other animals and strangers. As comes with the breed, Niko, is exceptionally bright, observant, reflective, very loving and processes a strong but under control protective instinct. As his trainer I can say, with no reservations that Niko was a true pleasure to work with in all capacities. If you are looking for the ultimate in a new family member Niko would be a no brainer!

OUR DOGS ARE MICRO-CHIPPED AND READY TO BE PART OF YOUR FAMILY TODAY!
These dogs deserve all of our attention, and in Rescue Dog Village Guardian, Inc A 5013c Non-Profit Organization, we are committed to our adopters and our dogs equally. We offer full disclosure and hope to make the best matches possible. Please know our adoption fees never cover our expenses. We rely on the generosity of our adopters and supporters to help us help the dogs.
Our rescue is only in the business of offering full disclosure to adopters, and expects and hopes to engage your questions and concerns fully. We owe it to the dogs we rescue and all the wonderful families/adopters who might consider welcoming our charges into their hearts and home. Our dogs are waiting for that ideal forever home where they will be cherished as deserving family members. It's sad these second chances are even necessary for these dogs, but we are committed to them and will devote the time and energy to their re-homing, and not just move them to save more dogs. We diligently and responsibly seek good matches, as we don't want to re-home the dog again. These animals have already endured more than they should have, and through no fault of their own. It behooves us to be honest and forthright, and we appreciate the same in return from applicants. It's that winning combination of reciprocal trust and respect that allows for successful placements to be made. Happy adopters translate to happy dogs, and that's our goal!
