Here's what the humans have to say about me:
In Cordele, GA
Meet Harvee! He is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations and on HW and flea prevention. He is a 4 year old male Aussie, with a glorious tail weighing in at 42 lbs.
Harvee is a medium to low energy guy, who likes a lap around the yard, toss a few toys, and he's content. He really enjoys country strolls, to sniff around and would benefit from more exposure to the world. Harvee loves other dogs and must have a friendly, stable dog companion. He loves to be chased and fits his play-style to his doggie friends. He attended doggie daycare, in his former home, and all of his interactions have been fun for him. He has shared his toys and water bowls with his dog pals. He will take treats, while patiently waiting his turn. Harvee has also been around cats. He will nuzzle them, if they allow it, but not real interested in them, though he may try to play.
He takes correction, from his 16lb foster sisters, like a gentleman, though he will come back, creep over, hoping they'll chase him again. He can be quite the clown at times. He loves to ride in a car and will sit quietly if you get out, waiting patiently for you to come back. He would make a fabulous travel buddy.
Harvee is insecure with new people, more so with men, though I feel he can overcome a lot of this, with the right owner and doggie friend to show him it's ok. He does not want to meet everyone and may bark, low growl at times. He has never bitten anyone and likes to move away rather than confront someone. He actually wants to interact and will warm up, to most people, if ignored. He can be vocal when a new person comes in, but has gotten much better and will quiet with a verbal correction. He crates on command and has been professionally obedience trained.
Harvee's new home should be in a rural setting, fenced yard and no children. Harvee likes kids, but since he can be insecure, it's better if it's an adult home, without a lot of traffic. Children may make him anxious. He is not afraid of environmental sounds, vehicles, crop dusters or tractors. Just not trusting of all people. He needs Someone that is willing to continue reinforcing his obedience.
He is really a soft loving dog, that wants to play with his doggie friends and be close to his people. He bonds quickly with his person, but needs to know his boundaries. He has tremendous potential and loves to learn!
