Here's what the humans have to say about me:
It is really hard to get a clear photo of Moxie because he's always on the move to get pets! This boy is so loving he will be his owner's best friend. He'll be by your side—well, when he’s not napping—in the kitchen, living room, bedroom, even the bathroom. A lap cat and a beside-you cat, he just wants to be close, and will provide you with great comfort and companionship.
Moxie has the most gorgeous green eyes and a very cool coat called ombré or black smoke—while his coat looks black, its roots are white, which you can see in the photo of him lying down. He is so soft and loves to be brushed—and get face massages (see video)—and has a playful side too, zooming around a couple times a day. A toothless wonder, there will be no dental bills in your future!
Moxie needed about a week to readjust to living indoors again, after he was abandoned in Brooklyn for who knows how long. Scared at first, he soon embraced all the comforts of indoor living: food!, cozy places to nap, and time to play and run around. Don't let his age—approximately 9 years old—deter you from welcoming this amazing cat into your home and life. He has so much love to give!
Moxie is neutered, vaccinated, and negative for FeLV and FIV. He will do best as your one and only, and although shy at first, after about a week or so in a new environment, his loving personality will shine and you'll be rewarded with a wonderful, lifetime companion!

Our cats are almost all in foster homes. Upon approval of your application (including reference check), we will connect you with the foster parent(s) so that you can meet the kitty you're interested in. If it's a good fit, we'll do a home check for safety issues, and then process the paperwork so that you can officially adopt your new family member!

More about this rescue
We are a network of rescuers in Central Brooklyn (primarily in Bed Stuy, Ocean Hill, and Crown Heights) who help each other out. We do both TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) as well as the rescue and adoption of friendly cats and kittens that we find on the streets. We don't have a physical facility, so our cats are usually in foster homes, or staying with us in our own homes. Our goal is to find loving, permanent homes for all the cats we take off the street, and to make better lives for the ones we return there.
